Please Help Victims of Sandy

…many who are living on the streets, burning whatever belongings they could salvage for heat.

As for me, I’m getting back on track to normalcy.

But for so many living in areas I’ve known all my life –  Staten Island where I grew up, New York City and Brooklyn where I lived for 20 years, and now here on Long Island, the road to normalcy is long. These areas have been ravaged and will never be the same. Please consider donating to:

Love to all. I’ve missed you.

  1. Glad to see you back! I did donate to RC a few days ago but am considering a second donation.
Did anything happen to you during this last storm, with the snow and freezing weather? It’s pretty awful and I hope your husband and mother and boys and pets are holding up! And you, too, of course!

Thanks, Lorinda. No miraculously we didn’t lose power again with this second storm as we usually would; paranoid, I restocked our freezer again with ice bags. My mother did take a fall the morning of the storm and was back in emergency an hour away, but she was ok and I was able to get one of her aides to take her home and get her settled; despite the storm, I didn’t have enough gas to get out there so thankfully she was ok. The gas situation is unnerving.

  2. Thank you for raising the awareness. Will do my part.

  3. Such an awful storm. So sad for so many. Yes, we will help.

Thanks, my dear queen. I’m hoping other bloggers will post this video; very moving. the more donations the better. The destruction here is surreal.

Thank you so much for sharing this Sandra, the more we reach out to others, the more they may be able to help.
