She’d missed it. Only heard a clatter of hooves, then a rustling through the brush across the road. Whatever; otherwise she would have missed the planet’s tiniest florescent green inchworm traversing her knuckles.

  6. Oh, what a great way to go with this. I love how you concentrated on what she could be looking at in her fingers. Great work!

  7. Oh yes! It’s amazing how much little kids get tunnel vision. And I remember loving to watch the inch worm measuring me for new gloves!

  8. You can’t really force little people to do anything. I can remember my son once being singularly focused on his loose button for the entirety of a children’s movie. I wish I’d known then how easily he could be entertained … for free.
